Eleven Australians — part of a global flotilla of 428 humanitarian volunteers — have just returned to Australia after being imprisioned by Israel.
They were seized at gunpoint in international waters while delivering food and medicine to starving civilians in Gaza.
Flotilla humanitarians reported serious abuse including being shot with rubber bullets, repeat electrocutions, severe beatings, and sexual assault including 14 cases of rape.
Multiple participants require ongoing medical and psychological treatment for injuries inflicted during detention. They are injured. They are traumatised. And they need our support.
