About Us

Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine is a community organisation based on unceded Bundjalung Country, committed to advocating for the safety, rights, and well-being of the Palestinian people.

With a history spanning decades, under various names, the group tirelessly works to raise awareness about the ongoing apartheid, ethnic cleansing, and genocide being perpetuated against Palestinians, promoting just and peaceful resolutions based on equality.

As a committed anti-racism group, Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine stands unwaveringly with our First Nations and all communities facing oppression, recognising our shared fight for justice and self-determination. From Bundjalung to Bethlehem we are united.

Who We Are

Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine is a grassroots group bringing together academics, direct action activists, experienced campaigners, and community volunteers united in stopping the genocide in Palestine. We advocate for equal rights, justice and liberation for all people in historic Palestine regardless of religion, ethnicity, sexuality or gender.

What We Do

We focus on national campaigns, political advocacy, rallies, capacity building, education, and fundraising. We prove that small communities can have a massive impact when they work hard and organised effectively.
