IDF NOT WELCOME IN SYDNEY MARATHON

As many as 40 former and current IDF soldiers are coming to Australia to compete in the Sydney Marathon on August 30, a trip sponsored by AIJAC and the Zionist Council of NSW.

Attending the event is First Lieutenant Roy Oryon who served as deputy commander of Company B, 13th Battalion, Golani Brigade. On 23 March 2025 this brigade fired on a convoy of ambulances outside Rafah, killing 15 medics and rescue workers and then bulldozed the bodies and the vehicles into the sand.

Australia has clear legal obligations under international law. As UN Commissioner and Australian human rights lawyer Chris Sidoti has stated, any member of the IDF who served in Gaza since October 7 should be treated as a suspect, investigated, and prosecuted.
