Rally at Qld/NSW border

Join the Freedom Bus to the Queensland/New South Wales border for a Free Palestine and Freedom of Speech. Saturday 1st August departing 11am.

The group will gather at 10:30am on Saturday 1st of August in Musgrave Park. The bus will depart at 11am and will drive down to the QLD/NSW border arriving after 12pm.

We will hold a protest on the border to highlight the absurdity of these new laws and test how obsessed the Queensland police are with us. JFP will be joined by the Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine.

The bus will depart the border at approximately 2.30pm, arriving back in Brisbane around 4pm.

There are 60 tickets available – concession price $10 and regular price $20, solidarity $40 - get in fast.

If you don't need to catch the bus from Brisbane please join the rally at 12.30pm at Chris Cunningham Park, Corner Wharf and, Bay St, Tweed Heads NSW 2485 (just south of the Queensland-NSW border). We will gather there before walking together to the Border Monument for the rally. Point B on the map.

We will not be silenced while the cries of children can still be heard from Gaza. Free Palestine.

Should Australians be arrested for political speech?

Queensland police have been arresting Australians under the Crisafulli Government's dangerous new anti-speech laws.

So far 31 Australians have been arrested. Aboriginal people. Jewish Australians. Palestinians. Students. Professionals. Elderly people.

While politicians spend time policing words, our taxes continue helping send weapons to Israel to kill families, medics and journalists.

That should concern every Australian.

The government should be investigating war crimes-not criminalising political speech. That's why Northern Rivers Friends of Palestine, Justice for Palestine Magan-djin, and Gold Coast for Palestine are coming together at the border.
